Sage Indigo Ironwood
Sage, born in 2002, is Ashley and Patrick’s growing spudling, and everyone’s favorite toy, just as we are his.
He continues to amaze us all with his maturing ways. He loves to have us read non-fiction to him: trains, space, dinosaurs, electricity. He just soaks it all up!
Anakeesta Ironwood
Anakeesta, born in 2005, is the second spudling addition to the Ironwood family.
She can run and climb like the big kids - actually, she wows us every day - out of diapers, talking up a storm, loving life…
Grandma Nana
Living down the hill in her own eco-house, Nana is the gate-keeper of the Moonshadow community.
She knows when folks are coming or going and is always interested in sharing stories with them as they pass through. Nana was born in 1912 and is Johnny’s mother.

Diana
Diana was found by Patrick, Ashley, Sage and Anakeesta in an art gallery in NYC. They decided they just couldn’t live without her and invited her to spend the summer working with them in their home. She is now Anakeesta’s favorite ring-around-the-rosie partner. Through her experience at Moonshadow, Diana has overcome her fear of creepy crawlers and poison ivy. She has a new-found love of cooking, and now understands the evils of hydrogenated oils and corn syrup. Diana hopes to one day write documentary films that will help with the awakening of global consciousness. She is currently on leave from Hampshire College and plans to study in an eco-village in India for the Spring of 2008.
