Ninth Annual Wine Tasting FUNdraiser
Eat, drink and be merry at our annual wine-tasting for members only (you can become a member at the door).
A tax-deductible donation for the wine-tasting event is requested. We suggest a donation of $25 per person, $40 per pair, or more. The wine-tasting showcases homemade, regional and organic wines accompanied by vegan and vegetarian hors d’ouvres.
For budgeting purposes, here’s the breakdown:
SVI Membership:
- $25 for a single person
- $35 per family (extended relatives!)
- $50 for company or organization (bring your club!)
Wine Tasting:
- suggested donation of $25 per person, or $40 per pair — tax deductible!
So, for a single person, you should budget $50… which ain’t bad considering you can easily drink $50 worth of fine, organic, non-sulfite, homemade wine and mead at the event. We’re guessing a lot of our friends normally spend that much during a night out at the bars… and they make you go home at 2am.

Designated drivers (no wine for you… sorry…) may attend free of charge!
We encourage folks to spend the night. If you choose to do so, you should bring a tent, flashlight and bedding (and plan to assist with clean up the following morning).
Come dressed in your halloween best – it’s a costume party!

Are reservations required for Wine in the Woods?
on October 8th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
Reservations are not required… however, this is a members only event… but you can become an SVI member on the day of the event. For budgeting purposes, here’s the breakdown:
SVI Membership:
$25 for a single person, or $35 per family (extended), $50 for company or organization
Wine Tasting:
suggested donation of $25 per person, or $40 per pair
So, for a single person, you should budget $50… which ain’t bad considering you can easily drink $50 worth of good wine and mead at the event. We’re guessing a lot of our friends normally spend that much during a night out at the bars… and they don’t let you camp out for the night afterwards.
Cheers!

What kind of dry red wine do you offer? Can I buy a case of it? The price? Organic wine is a wonderful thing.

Rose, we don’t sell wine… we occasionally provide it during events. For a dry red, I like the elderberry/echinacea with osha root… it’s not sweet like most elderberry wines, it’s a very tasty and full bodied red… also very medicinal (antiviral).
