Work Weekend — Meeting Hall (Mar. 15-16)
March 15, 2008 to March 16, 2008
Please be our guest for the weekend! We need all sorts of help during the final phases of the Meeting Hall construction. The goal for March is to get a roof on the sucka! And to have a lot of fun and fellowship.
We’ll need all sorts of skills… everyone can contribute, whether it be construction, cooking, child or elder care, documentation… or even just moral support. We’ll be working Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so you are welcome any time during the weekend. And of course… there will be food, wine and beer for our hard working crew members! The harder you work, the harder you play!
Please call ahead or email to let us know who you are, what you can contribute, when you’ll be here, etc. We look forward to meeting new friends and working with old standbys. Be a part of something really big… and really fun.

Hi Guys! When I went to the website again, it listed Mar 8 as a work day. When I checked it out a couple of weeks ago, it just said that it was a second Saturday tour day. That’s what I was looking for with my book club. Due to the fact that I’m still a little unstable on my ruptured tendon, and I don’t know whether the people who agreed to a tour, would be interested in a work day, I will respectfully decline this time.

We got quite a bit of work done with the assistance of the Kentucky Krew - Melissa, Monica, Berea, Adam, Bryan, and Sean. There are now railings around the entire upper floors.
Willy Bryant from Suck Creek Mountain was also very helpful with the building, and he brought his 4-wheel drive dump truck which made quick work of moving firewood and rafter beams.
Hop, Leila and Sara showed up Saturday night and got right to work on Sunday moving more firewood and tarping the firewood stacks.
DeeDee and Chad continued their great work in the garden and kitchen, keeping the crew fed full. Duck Soup!!!
Beau worked hard installing the banisters on the up-stairs, and made final preparations for his upcoming through-hike of the Appalachian Trail.
