A tax-deductible donation for the wine-tasting event is requested. We suggest a donation of $25 per person, $40 per pair, or more. The wine- tasting showcases homemade, regional and organic wines accompanied by vegan and vegetarian hors d?ouvres. For budgeting purposes, here?s the breakdown: SVI Membership: $25 for a single person $35 per family (extended relatives!) $50 for company or organization (bring your club!) Wine Tasting: suggested donation of $25 per person, or $40 per pair ? tax deductible! So, for a single person, you should budget $50? which ain?t bad considering you can easily drink $50 worth of fine, organic, non- sulfite, homemade wine and mead at the event. We?re guessing a lot of our friends normally spend that much during a night out at the bars? and they make you go home at 2am. Designated drivers (no wine for you? sorry?) may attend free of charge! We encourage folks to spend the night. If you choose to do so, you should bring a tent, flashlight and bedding (and plan to assist with clean up the following morning). Come dressed in your halloween best ? it?s a costume party! Directions to Sequatchie Valley Institute ? I've seen her production work, and contributed a couple of recipes, so I know she's very serious about this project. Message-ID: <56091594-57B0-4FB8-9A57-6515B91343B9@svionline.org> Hi folks, We have a nice selection of regional and moonshadow wines lined up for 2009 Wine in the Woods, and we look forward to seeing you Friday evening, Oct 30. Money: we've heard from a few folks that they may not be able to afford the SVI membership + donation. This is not a "make or break". We always operate on sliding scale, and understand that cash money is tight. Please come to the event and do what you can to support SVI... we'd rather have our friends and volunteers than their money! (Food donations accepted... see below) Children: we have childcare lined up, but PLEASE RSVP (with details) if you plan to bring your kids. Tadd Harlin and his clan will be watching the kids at Sweetgum until 9 or 10pm, at which time parents will need to retake responsibility. Movies, snacks, playtime, etc. Food & Beverage: If you bring some quality snacks, wines, beverages, hors d'oeurvres, etc, we will waive your donation, so you may attend for the price of an SVI membership (SVI board, supervolunteers and advisors are exempt from membership). Cheers, and we hope to see you Friday! http://svionline.org/svi/149/wine-in-the-woods-halloween/ Questions? 423-949-5922 officemanager at svionline.org Chris Gilligan Board of Directors - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sequatchie Valley Institute 1233 Cartwright Loop Whitwell, TN 37397 (423) 949-5922 tel svionline.org -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
