a personal note from asha:

hi there! big news... the kids and i are headed to colorado - we
wont be back until next summer... sage heads out on monday in order
to be at his new pubic (!) montesorri school for the first day on
tuesday. anakeesta and i will continue to pack and drive out to catch
up with him at my parents' home in basalt. patrick is taking things
one day at a time and can fill you in on his plans when they become
clear to him. i know this is going to lead to lots of questions -
please feel free to write, knowing that it may take me a while for me
to respond to you.
svi will continue to fulfill its mission here - i plan to organize
"food for life" and bonnaroo from colorado - and i look forward to
being here with you again next summer.
we've invited folks to come over to play today, if you're able to join
us. everything is moving very fast for us right now :)
much love to you all,
asha

"some changes may look negative on the surface, but you will soon
realize that space is being created in your life for something new to
emerge. there may be a period of insecurity and uncertainty. what
should i do? as the ego is no longer running your life, the
psychological need for external security, which is illusory anyway,
lessens. you're able to live with uncertainty - even enjoy it. when
you become comfortable with uncertainty, infinite possibilities open
up in your life. it means fear is no longer a dominant factor in what
you do and no longer prevents you from taking action to initiate
change. the roman philosopher, tasitus, rightly observed that 'the
desire for safety stands against every great and noble enterprise.'
if uncertainty is unacceptable to you, it turns into fear. if it's
perfectly acceptable, it turns into increased aliveness, alertness and
creativity."
