Anj & Jeff,

Following up on yesterday's phone message... We have a nice opportunity coming in October 2011. SVI organizes the regional Tour of Solar Homes on Sat. Oct. 1, and we will be featuring several installations in the Valley: Moonshadow's off-grid, cobbled together homestead system, Sequatchie Cove's new 28K grid-tied array, and probably a Dunlap and/or Pikeville residence.

The following week, we will host SVI alumnus and ISPQ Master Trainer, David Delvecchio from NC State. David has offered to teach a 3-day intensive for multiple levels of alternative energy installers. We are penciling in the span of days from Thurs. Oct. 6 through Sun. Oct. 9 for the classroom sessions and site visits.

We also would like to involve Thomas Tripp from Big Frog Mountain, and possibly Mike Butler from Efficient Energy of TN.

We would like to hold the training course at green|spaces, if possible. David can handle up to 30 participants, from neophytes to experienced electricians and installers. We may also tie in with the UTC Engineering department and can offer scholarships towards the cost of the course, which will be sliding scale $100-600 per day, depending on ability to pay, time, space and curriculum.

We plan to have classroom sessions on system functionality, design and installation, as well as site visits and examination of live systems and/or in-progress installs.

If you would be interested in partnering with us on this course, we would love to have your support and guidance.

Please contact me for more information, as we are planning.

Sincerely,

Chris Gilligan
