Theatre Festival Workshop at the Sequatchie Valley Institute in the beautiful Sequatchie Valley

Come enjoy a day of theatrical fun and play.

During the day participants will act, play, build skills, rehearse and help create the play, “Waste Stream Dream”. The play is designed to be interactive and improvisational. We will also be making costumes, sets and props prior to the festival. All ages and experience levels welcome. Artists and musicians helping out at the Festival Workshop will include: Colleen Leliberte, masks and puppets; Kofi Mawuko, vocal calling; Rebekah Mawuko, dance and choreography; and Jeannie Cerulean, Acting and Play Production.

Come in costume, if you wish as a faerie, elf, wizard, faerie buggling, etc.
Bring an acoustic musical instrument, if you play.

Artists who wish to paint the set, etc…let us know if you can come on the 2nd.

Waste Stream Dream is a collaborative play that includes a participating audience. We will create this play as a group based on the story of Simple, a faerie bugling who wants to find out why the humans are throwing away so much trash. The squirrels are concerned about the problem and have started trouble in the human world. The queen of the Waste Stream and her Dream Wizard lead humans into a dream world where they can find “Simple” solutions. And there are the terrible Trash Monsters…
