The Sequatchie Valley Institute cordially invites you to Wine in the Woods
April 4, 2015 4:30 pm CDT
Join us as we explore the magic and novelty of our lives while tasting wines, meads, elixirs, and other oddities from our cellar, cave and apothecary, made with fruits and herbs growing in our edible landscape, gardens, vineyard, and forest.
Additional activities on this day of fun will include:
- 2:00 CST: A short course on Wine and Mead Making with Wild Yeasts (advance signup)
- 3:00: A tour of SVI, including the hand-crafted solar powered structures and permaculture gardens
- Exhibits by artists at the Liquidambar Art Gallery
- Artistic and Musical Entertainment
You may wish to bring a lunch or snacks to eat at one of our beautiful picnic areas in the woods
This is an annual FUNdraising event for SVI members only. A tax-deductible minimum donation of $25 per person/$40 per family is requested. If you are not a member of SVI, you may join at the door. All proceeds will be used for our non-profit educational programs. Please RSVP.
Work trade may be available but must be arranged at least 2 weeks in advance.
We encourage folks to spend the night. If you choose to do so, bring a tent, flashlight and bedding. Sunday brunch will be provided.
Please leave your pets at home as we are a wildlife refuge area.
